In Friday's league game, the Highland Park Scots (Dallas, TX) football team knocked off the visiting Tyler Lions (Tyler, TX), by a final score of 42-14.

The Scots (7-1) will now prepare for their game against West Mesquite (Mesquite, TX). The Wranglers come into the 5A-1 Region II District 7 game with a 2-6 record. In their last game, West Mesquite was dropped by Wylie East (Wylie, TX), 34-8, in a league game.

The Lions now hold a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they host Sherman for a 5A-1 Region II District 7 game on Friday, October 29. Tyler will battle a Bearcats team coming off a 50-28 league loss to McKinney North (McKinney, TX). The Bearcats record now stands at 3-5.
