In Friday's non-league game, the Loudoun County Captains (Leesburg, VA) football team knocked off the host Independence (Ashburn, VA), by a final score of 28-7.

The Captains (7-1) will now prepare for their game against Broad Run (Ashburn, VA). The Spartans come into the Dulles game with a 7-1 record. In their last game, Broad Run toppled Rock Ridge (Ashburn, VA), 2-0, in a league game.

The now hold a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they host Woodgrove for a Potomac game on Thursday, October 28. Independence will battle a Wolverines team coming off a 34-14 league loss to Stone Bridge (Ashburn, VA). The Wolverines record now stands at 6-2.
