October 22, 2025: Gretna, LA 70053 Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the McGehee Hawks (New Orleans, LA) and the host Young Audiences Yacs (Gretna, LA), saw McGehee's volleyball squad notch a victory over Young Audiences by a score of 3-0.
With the win, McGehee improves its record to 18-6 on the season. The Hawks travel to Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy (Westwego, LA) to encounter the Tigers in a non-league battle on Thursday, October 23. The Tigers go into the battle with a record of 12-14. Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy lost 3-0 in their recent league battle against Academy of Our Lady (Marrero, LA)
The Yacs now own a 15-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Plaquemines for a non-league battle on Monday, October 27. Young Audiences will encounter a Hurricanes squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Lutheran (Metairie, LA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 12-10.
