The Albany Lions walloped the host Cross Plains Buffaloes football team by a score of 42-0 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Lions meet the Roscoe Plowboys (Roscoe, TX) in a 2A-2 Region II District 7 challenge, on Friday, October 31. Albany will attempt to improve on its 6-2 season record. The Plowboys go into the challenge with a 2-6 record after their 42-0 league win over Winters (Winters, TX).

The Buffaloes (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Hamlin (Hamlin, TX). The Pied Pipers go into the 2A-2 Region II District 7 challenge with a 7-1 record. In their last challenge, Hamlin bounced Miles (Miles, TX), 28-0, in a league challenge.
