Thatcher Eagles (Thatcher, AZ) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Sabino Sabercats (Tucson, AZ), 40-0 in a league battle.

With the win, Thatcher improves its record to 8-1 on the season. The Eagles travel to Coolidge (Coolidge, AZ) to play the Bears in a 3A East battle on Friday, October 31. The Bears go into the battle with a record of 5-4. Coolidge won 34-6 in their recent league test against San Tan Foothills (Queen Creek, AZ)

With the defeat, Sabino drops to 3-6 on the campaign. The Sabercats host Safford (Safford, AZ) to meet the Bulldogs in a 3A East test on Friday, October 31. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 2-7. Safford lost 36-0 in their recent league test against Florence (Florence, AZ)
