The crowd at Thursday's league contest between the Lincoln Lions (San Jose, CA) and the visiting Leigh Longhorns (San Jose, CA), witnessed Lincoln's football squad edge Leigh by a tally of 30-28.

The Lions (6-2) will now prepare for their contest against Christopher (Gilroy, CA). The Cougars enter the contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, Christopher was tipped by Santa Teresa (San Jose, CA), 7-6, in a league bout.

The Longhorns now own a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to Live Oak for a contest on Friday, October 31. Leigh will confront a Acorns squad coming off a 44-0 league win over Branham (San Jose, CA). The Acorns record now stands at 8-0.
