Colorado High School Football - Salida overwhelmed by Alamosa

October 24, 2025: Alamosa, CO 81101

The Alamosa Mean Moose walloped the visiting Salida Spartans football team by a score of 50-13 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Mean Moose face the Pagosa Springs Pirates (Pagosa Springs, CO) in a 2A Intermountain challenge, on Friday, October 31. Alamosa will attempt to improve on its 6-2 season record. The Pirates enter the test with a 5-3 record after their 42-10 league win over Montezuma-Cortez (Cortez, CO).

With the defeat, Salida drops to 1-7 on the campaign. The Spartans host Gunnison (Gunnison, CO) to clash with the Cowboys in a 2A Intermountain test on Thursday, October 30. The Cowboys come into the test with a record of 1-7. Gunnison won 41-7 in their recent league test against Bayfield (Bayfield, CO)
