In Friday's league game, the Riverside Rangers (El Paso, TX) football team edged the visiting Austin Panthers (El Paso, TX), by a tally of 27-24.

In their next game, the Rangers face the Ysleta Indians (El Paso, TX) in a 4A-1 Region I District 1 outing, on Thursday, October 30. Riverside will attempt to move on its 7-1 season record. The Indians come into the outing with a 8-0 record after their 42-21 league win over Irvin (El Paso, TX).
