Texas High School Football - Avalon crushed by Klondike
October 24, 2025: Avalon, TX 76623 Klondike Cougars (Lamesa, TX) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Avalon Eagles (Avalon, TX), 60-14 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Klondike improves its record to 9-0 on the season. The Cougars travel to Southland (Southland, TX) to play the Eagles in a 1A 6 Man 2 Region I District 4 (6 Man) battle on Thursday, October 30. The Eagles go into the battle with a record of 0-6. Southland lost 68-45 in their recent league battle against Dawson (Welch, TX)
The Eagles now have a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to Blum for a 1A 6 Man 1 Region III District 9 (6 Man) battle on Friday, October 31. Avalon will play a Bobcats team coming off a 52-6 league win over Covington (Covington, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 3-5.
