Texas High School Football - Bastrop trounces Elgin

In Friday's league match, the visiting Bastrop Bears football squad scored a decisive 62-6 triumph over the Elgin Wildcats.

The Bears (8-0) will now prepare for their match against Pflugerville (Pflugerville, TX). The Panthers go into the 5A-2 Region III District 11 battle with a 6-2 record. In their last battle, Pflugerville walloped Crockett (Austin, TX), 62-7, in a league battle.

The Wildcats now have a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to Pflugerville Connally for a 5A-2 Region III District 11 battle on Friday, October 31. Elgin will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 63-6 league win over Navarro (Austin, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 4-4.
