The Gunter Tigers football squad scored 53 points and limited the host Blue Ridge Tigers to 6 in the Tigers league triumph on Friday.

The Tigers now hold a 7-1 record. They play next when they host S & S Consolidated for a 3A-2 Region II District 7 challenge on Friday, October 31. Gunter will face a Rams team coming off a 50-14 league loss to Bells (Bells, TX). The Rams record now stands at 2-6.

The Tigers (3-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Callisburg (Gainesville, TX). The Wildcats go into the 3A-2 Region II District 7 challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, Callisburg bounced Howe (Howe, TX), 14-11, in a league challenge.
