The Denver City Mustangs walloped the visiting Brownfield Cubs football team by a score of 54-12 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Mustangs play the Kermit Yellow Jackets (Kermit, TX) in a 3A-1 Region I District 2 challenge, on Friday, October 31. Denver City will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Yellow Jackets enter the challenge with a 1-6 record after their 49-0 league loss to Lamesa (Lamesa, TX).

The Cubs (0-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Lamesa (Lamesa, TX). The Tornadoes enter the 3A-1 Region I District 2 challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, Lamesa bounced Kermit (Kermit, TX), 49-0, in a league challenge.
