October 24, 2025: Waterloo, IA 50702 Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS (Clarion, IA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Columbus Catholic Sailors (Waterloo, IA), 48-27 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS improves its record to 6-3 on the season. The travel to Grundy Center (Grundy Center, IA) to play the Spartans in a non-league battle on Friday, November 7. The Spartans go into the battle with a record of 9-0. Grundy Center won 57-0 in their recent non-league battle against Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont (Eddyville, IA)
The Sailors now have a 5-4 record.
