The Columbia Central Lions got by the host Pope John Paul II Knights football team by a score of 45-42 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Lions face the Tullahoma Wildcats (Tullahoma, TN) in a 5A Region 4 challenge, on Friday, October 31. Columbia Central will attempt to improve on its 5-3 season record. The Wildcats go into the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 43-0 league win over Franklin County (Winchester, TN).

The Knights (3-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Davidson Academy (Nashville, TN). The Bears go into the Division II-AA Middle challenge with a 5-4 record. In their last challenge, Davidson Academy nipped Columbia Academy (Columbia, TN), 38-0, in a league challenge.
