California High School Football - Esperanza sneaks past Westminster

October 24, 2025: Anaheim, CA 92807

In Friday's league match, the host Esperanza Aztecs football squad scored a close 27-21 triumph over the Westminster Lions.

The Aztecs (4-5) will now prepare for their match against Brea Olinda (Brea, CA). The Wildcats come into the Kappa match with a 6-3 record. In their last match, Brea Olinda was nudged by Segerstrom (Santa Ana, CA), 14-7, in a league battle.

The Lions now have a 3-6 record. They play next when they host St. Margaret's for a Kappa battle on Thursday, October 30. Westminster will play a Tartans team coming off a 35-7 league win over Garden Grove (Garden Grove, CA). The Tartans record now stands at 5-4.
