The Monroe County Tigers football squad scored 28 points and limited the host Excel Panthers to 14 in the Tigers league triumph on Friday.

The Tigers now sport a 2-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wilcox Central for a non-league test on Friday, October 31. Monroe County will clash with a Jaguars squad coming off a 60-38 league loss to Sumter Central (York, AL). The Jaguars record now stands at 0-9.

With the defeat, Excel drops to 1-8 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Southern Choctaw (Gilbertown, AL) to clash with the Indians in a non-league test on Friday, October 31. The Indians come into the test with a record of 7-2. Southern Choctaw lost 35-22 in their recent league game against Sweet Water (Sweet Water, AL)
