In Friday's league match, the host Liberty Patriots football squad scored a good 42-27 victory over the Garces Memorial Rams.

The Patriots (3-6) will now prepare for their match against Stockdale (Bakersfield, CA). The Mustangs enter the Southwest Yosemite - River match with a 1-8 record. In their last match, Stockdale was beaten by Centennial (Bakersfield, CA), 51-0, in a league battle.

The Rams now own a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to Bakersfield Christian for a non-league battle on Thursday, October 30. Garces Memorial will play a Eagles team coming off a 24-14 league win over Independence (Bakersfield, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 9-0.
