In Friday's non-league match, the host Linganore Lancers football squad scored a decisive 62-6 triumph over the Governor Thomas Johnson Patriots.

The Lancers (8-0) will now prepare for their match against Urbana (Ijamsville, MD). The Hawks come into the non-league match with a 5-3 record. In their last match, Urbana routed Tuscarora (Frederick, MD), 41-7, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Patriots confront the Frederick Cadets (Frederick, MD) in a Class 4A3A West match, on Saturday, November 1. Governor Thomas Johnson will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Cadets come into the match with a 3-5 record after their 32-6 non-league loss to Oakdale (Ijamsville, MD).
