New York High School Football - Johnson City loses to Owego Free Academy
October 24, 2025: Johnson City, NY 13790 Owego Free Academy River Hawks (Owego, NY) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Johnson City Wildcats (Johnson City, NY), 20-0 in a league battle.
With the win, Owego Free Academy advances its record to 5-3 on the season. The River Hawks host Horseheads (Horseheads, NY) to play the Blue Raiders in a non-league battle on Saturday, November 1. The Blue Raiders go into the battle with a record of 5-3. Horseheads won 60-14 in their recent league battle against Binghamton (Binghamton, NY)
The Wildcats now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Chenango Forks for a non-league battle on Thursday, October 30. Johnson City will confront a Blue Devils squad coming off a 31-13 non-league win over Waverly (Waverly, NY). The Blue Devils record now stands at 8-0.
