Parklane Academy Pioneers (McComb, MS) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Simpson Academy Cougars (Mendenhall, MS), 48-19 in a league battle.

With the win, Parklane Academy upgrades its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Pioneers host Silliman Institute (Clinton, LA) to meet the Wildcats in a MAIS 4A District 4 test on Friday, October 31. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 4-4. Silliman Institute lost 52-6 in their recent league test against Jackson Prep (Jackson, MS)

With the defeat, Simpson Academy drops to 3-6 on the campaign. The Cougars host Madison-Ridgeland Academy (Madison, MS) to meet the Patriots in a MAIS 4A District 3 test on Friday, October 31. The Patriots come into the test with a record of 8-1. Madison-Ridgeland Academy won 42-7 in their recent league challenge against Brookhaven Academy (Brookhaven, MS)
