River Valley Dust Devils (Mohave Valley, AZ) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the host Payson Longhorns (Payson, AZ), 34-31 in a non-league battle.

With the win, River Valley advances its record to 6-3 on the season. The Dust Devils travel to Dysart (El Mirage, AZ) to play the Demons in a 3A West battle on Friday, October 31. The Demons go into the battle with a record of 5-4. Dysart won 61-6 in their recent league battle against Odyssey Institute (Buckeye, AZ)

The Longhorns now own a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they host Show Low for a 3A Mountain match on Friday, October 31. Payson will confront a Cougars squad coming off a 43-3 non-league win over Shadow Mountain (Phoenix, AZ). The Cougars record now stands at 7-2.
