Pillow Academy Mustangs (Greenwood, MS) boosters were content Friday as they observed their football squad thwart the visiting St. Joseph Catholic Bruins (Madison, MS), 43-24 in a non-league match.

The Mustangs (4-6) will now prepare for their match against Jackson Academy (Jackson, MS). The Raiders come into the MAIS 4A District 1 match with a 8-1 record. In their last match, Jackson Academy defeated Bayou Academy (Cleveland, MS), 48-7, in a league battle.

The Bruins now have a 1-8 record. They play next when they host St. Aloysius for a non-league battle on Friday, October 31. St. Joseph Catholic will play a Flashes team coming off a 24-14 non-league win over Indianola Academy (Indianola, MS). The Flashes record now stands at 4-5.
