In Friday's league game, the Aledo Bearcats (Aledo, TX) football team edged the visiting Richland Royals (North Richland Hills, TX), by a tally of 49-42.

Next up, the Bearcats play the Azle Hornets (Azle, TX) in a 5A-1 Region I District 3 battle, on Friday, November 1. Aledo will attempt to improve on its 7-1 season record. The Hornets go into the battle with a 7-1 record after their 28-14 league win over Granbury (Granbury, TX).

The Royals now have a 7-2 record. They play next when they host Azle for a 5A-1 Region I District 3 battle on Friday, November 8.
