Alexandria Trojans (Alexandria, LA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Ruston Bearcats (Ruston, LA), 40-36 in a league battle.

With the win, Alexandria improves its record to 8-0 on the season. The Trojans travel to Ouachita Parish (Monroe, LA) to play the Lions in a 5A District 2 battle on Friday, November 1. The Lions go into the battle with a record of 4-4. Ouachita Parish lost 41-14 in their recent league battle against Neville (Monroe, LA)

The Bearcats now have a 6-2 record. They play next when they host Pineville for a 5A District 2 battle on Friday, November 1. Ruston will play a Rebels team coming off a 41-13 league loss to West Monroe (West Monroe, LA). The Rebels record now stands at 3-5.
