The Appling County Pirates felled the host Cook Hornets football team by a score of 38-14 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Pirates play the Pierce County Bears (Blackshear, GA) in a AA Region 3 challenge, on Friday, November 1. Appling County will attempt to improve on its 6-2 season record. The Bears go into the challenge with a 8-0 record after their 37-7 league win over Tattnall County (Reidsville, GA).

The Hornets (3-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Crisp County (Cordele, GA). The Cougars go into the AA Region 3 challenge with a 1-7 record. In their last challenge, Crisp County was dropped by Pierce County (Blackshear, GA), 34-6, in a league challenge.
