October 25, 2024: Grand Coteau, LA 70541 The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Westminster Academy Crusaders (Opelousas, LA) and the host Berchmans Academy Saints (Grand Coteau, LA), witnessed Westminster Academy's football squad wallop Berchmans Academy by a tally of 50-0.
The Crusaders (6-3) will now prepare for their contest against North Central (Lebeau, LA). The Hurricanes enter the 1A District 5 contest with a 1-7 record. In their last contest, North Central was trounced by Sacred Heart (Ville Platte, LA), 49-0, in a league contest.
Coming up next, the Saints battle the Opelousas Catholic Vikings (Opelousas, LA) in a 1A District 5 contest, on Friday, November 1. Berchmans Academy will attempt to better on its 1-7 season record. The Vikings enter the contest with a 5-3 record after their 50-21 non-league loss to Vermilion Catholic (Abbeville, LA).
