The Rye Cove Eagles (Clinchport, VA) football tipped the visiting Chilhowie Warriors (Chilhowie, VA), 40-39 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Eagles now sport a 9-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to J.I. Burton for a Cumberland outing on Friday, November 1. Rye Cove will clash with a Black Raiders squad coming off a 12-0 league win over Castlewood (Castlewood, VA). The Black Raiders record now stands at 2-6.

With the defeat, Chilhowie drops to 3-5 on the campaign. The Warriors host Patrick Henry (Glade Spring, VA) to clash with the Rebels in a Hogoheegee outing on Friday, November 1. The Rebels come into the outing with a record of 3-6. Patrick Henry lost 42-28 in their recent league outing against Honaker (Honaker, VA)
