October 25, 2024: Worcester, MA 01602 The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Doherty Memorial Highlanders (Worcester, MA) and the visiting North Polar Bears (Worcester, MA), witnessed Doherty Memorial's football squad knock off North by a tally of 42-12.
The Highlanders (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Wachusett Regional (Holden, MA). The Mountaineers enter the non-league contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Wachusett Regional was toppled by Leominster (Leominster, MA), 65-49, in a league contest.
Coming up next, the Polar Bears battle the Sutton Sammies (Sutton, MA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, November 1. North will attempt to better on its 1-6 season record. The Sammies enter the contest with a 1-6 record after their 49-6 league loss to Nipmuc Regional (Upton, MA).
