Kentucky High School Football - Jackson County thwarted by Jellico
October 25, 2024: McKee, KY 40447 Jellico Blue Devils (Jellico, TN) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Jackson County Generals (McKee, KY), 32-20 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Jellico advances its record to 2-6 on the season. The Blue Devils host Hancock County (Sneedville, TN) to play the Indians in a 1A Region 1 battle on Thursday, October 31. The Indians go into the battle with a record of 0-9.
The Generals now own a 5-4 record. They play next when they travel to Bellevue for a non-league battle on Friday, November 1. Jackson County will play a Tigers team coming off a 54-6 league loss to Newport Central Catholic (Newport, KY). The Tigers record now stands at 3-5.
