In Friday's league match, the visiting Lamesa Tornadoes football squad scored a good 49-18 victory over the Kermit Yellow Jackets.

The Tornadoes (2-6) will now prepare for their match against Brownfield (Brownfield, TX). The Cubs enter the 3A-1 Region I District 2 match with a 0-8 record. In their last match, Brownfield was beaten by Denver City (Denver City, TX), 35-0, in a league match.
