October 25, 2024: Olive Hill, KY 41164 West Carter Comets (Olive Hill, KY) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Lewis County Lions (Vanceburg, KY), 45-12 in a league battle.
With the win, West Carter advances its record to 4-5 on the season. The Comets travel to Rowan County (Morehead, KY) to play the Vikings in a non-league battle on Friday, November 1. The Vikings go into the battle with a record of 2-7. Rowan County lost 53-18 in their recent league battle against Greenup County (Greenup, KY)
The Lions now own a 0-9 record. They play next when they travel to Bracken County for a non-league battle on Friday, November 1. Lewis County will play a Polar Bears team coming off a 38-7 league loss to Beechwood (Fort Mitchell, KY). The Polar Bears record now stands at 7-2.
