New Jersey High School Soccer - New Providence nudges Freehold Township
October 25, 2025: New Providence, NJ 07924 Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the New Providence Pioneers (New Providence, NJ) and the visiting Freehold Township Patriots (Freehold, NJ), saw New Providence's soccer squad hold off Freehold Township by a count of 1-0.
The Pioneers (6-2) will now prepare for their match against Elizabeth (Elizabeth, NJ). The Minutemen come into the non-league match with a 7-4 record. In their last match, Elizabeth was tipped by Scotch Plains-Fanwood (Scotch Plains, NJ), 2-1, in a non-league match.
The Patriots now sport a 6-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Colonia for a non-league battle on Tuesday, October 28.
