Georgia High School Softball - Pope bounces Effingham County
October 26, 2022: Springfield, GA 31329 The Pope Greyhounds (Marietta, GA) softball routed the host Effingham County Rebels (Springfield, GA), 8-0 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Greyhounds (32-1) will now prepare for their bout against River Ridge (Woodstock, GA). The Knights go into the non-league bout with a 19-13 record. In their last bout, River Ridge toppled Houston County (Warner Robins, GA), 8-0, in a non-league bout.
The Rebels now possess a 26-6 record. They play next when they travel to Houston County for a non-league contest on Thursday, October 27. Effingham County will play a Bears team coming off a 8-0 non-league loss to River Ridge (Woodstock, GA). The Bears record now stands at 27-6.
