The Bluefield Beavers walloped the visiting Giles Spartans football team by a count of 47-13 in Thursday's non-league outing.

With the win, Bluefield upgrades its record to 4-5 on the season. The Beavers travel to James Monroe (Lindside, WV) to encounter the Mavericks in a non-league outing on Friday, November 3. The Mavericks go into the outing with a record of 7-1. James Monroe won 28-12 in their recent non-league outing against Nicholas County (Summersville, WV)

With the loss, Giles moves to 2-7 on the season. The Spartans host Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA) to encounter the Pioneers in a Mountain Empire outing on Friday, November 3. The Pioneers go into the outing with a record of 4-5. Fort Chiswell lost 42-27 in their recent league outing against Galax (Galax, VA)
