North Carolina High School Football - Enka smashes Avery County

October 26, 2024: Enka, NC 28728

The Enka Jets (Enka, NC) football trounced the visiting Avery County Vikings (Newland, NC), 34-0 in Saturday's non-league outing.

The Jets now sport a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they host McDowell for a Mountain Athletic 3A/4A outing on Friday, November 1. Enka will clash with a Titans squad coming off a 63-12 league loss to Erwin (Asheville, NC). The Titans record now stands at 1-6.

With the defeat, Avery County drops to 1-6 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Draughn (Valdese, NC) to clash with the Wildcats in a Western Highlands 1A/2A outing on Saturday, November 2. The Wildcats come into the outing with a record of 4-3. Draughn won 51-6 in their recent league outing against Rosman (Rosman, NC)
