New Jersey High School Football - Long Branch thwarted by Marlboro
October 26, 2024: Marlboro, NJ 07723 Marlboro Mustangs (Marlboro, NJ) followers went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Long Branch Green Wave (Long Branch, NJ), 21-0 in a league battle.
With the win, Marlboro advances its record to 5-3 on the season. The Mustangs host Toms River South (Toms River, NJ) to play the Indians in a non-league battle on Saturday, November 2. The Indians go into the battle with a record of 5-4. Toms River South won 33-26 in their recent league battle against Central Regional (Bayville, NJ)
The Green Wave now own a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to Trenton Central for a non-league battle on Wednesday, October 30. Long Branch will play a Tornadoes team coming off a 17-13 league win over Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NJ). The Tornadoes record now stands at 5-4.
