Virginia High School Football - Castlewood trounced by Hurley
October 27, 2023: Hurley, VA 24620 Hurley Rebels (Hurley, VA) fans left the game satisfied Friday as they observed their football team rout the visiting Castlewood Blue Devils (Castlewood, VA), 60-20 in a non-league test.
With the win, Hurley improves its record to 4-5 on the season. The Rebels host Twin Valley (Pilgrims Knob, VA) to confront the Panthers in a non-league game on Friday, November 3. The Panthers come into the game with a record of 2-8. Twin Valley lost 48-20 in their recent non-league game against Eastern Montgomery (Elliston, VA)
The Blue Devils now sport a 1-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Eastside for a Cumberland game on Friday, November 3. Castlewood will battle a Spartans team coming off a 40-0 non-league win over Auburn (Riner, VA). The Spartans record now stands at 5-4.
