The Pioneer Diamondbacks football squad scored 42 points and restricted the host Sharyland Rattlers to 7 in the Diamondbacks league victory on Friday.

The Diamondbacks now possess a 8-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial for a 5A-2 Region IV District 16 battle on Friday, November 3. Pioneer will play a Wolverines squad coming off a 49-28 league loss to Mission Veterans Memorial (Mission, TX). The Wolverines record now stands at 7-2.

Coming up next, the Rattlers play the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest Javelinas (Pharr, TX) in a 5A-2 Region IV District 16 battle, on Thursday, November 2. Sharyland will attempt to advance on its 3-6 season record. The Javelinas enter the battle with a 1-8 record after their 62-0 league loss to Roma (Roma, TX).
