October 28, 2022: Griswold, CT The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Griswold/Wheeler Wolverines (Griswold, CT) and the visiting Bacon Academy Bobcats (Colchester, CT), observed Griswold/Wheeler's football squad defeat Bacon Academy by a count of 34-22.
The Wolverines now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Stonington for a Eastern Connecticut III contest on Friday, November 4. Griswold/Wheeler will confront a Bears team coming off a 14-13 league win over Weaver (Hartford, CT). The Bears record now stands at 2-5.
With the loss, Bacon Academy moves to 0-7 on the season. The Bobcats travel to Griswold (Griswold, CT) to confront the Wolverines in a non-league outing on Saturday, October 29. The Wolverines go into the outing with a record of 1-3.
