October 28, 2022: Claremore, OK 74017 In Friday's league game, the Sequoyah Eagles (Claremore, OK) football team got by the visiting Vinita Hornets (Vinita, OK), by a score of 22-21.
The Eagles (8-1) will now prepare for their game against Caney Valley (Ramona, OK). The Trojans come into the 2A District 8 game with a 1-8 record. In their last game, Caney Valley was tipped by Rejoice Christian (Owasso, OK), 70-6, in a league game.
The Hornets now sport a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they host Salina for a 2A District 8 game on Friday, November 4. Vinita will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 44-0 league win over Nowata (Nowata, OK). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-4.
