The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV) and the visiting Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers (Buckhannon, WV), observed Preston's football squad defeat Buckhannon-Upshur by a count of 30-14.

The Knights now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Brooke for a non-league contest on Friday, November 5. Preston will play a Bruins squad coming off a 29-6 non-league loss to Weir (Weirton, WV). The Bruins record now stands at 4-4.

Coming up next, the Buccaneers play the Elkins Tigers (Elkins, WV) in a Big Ten contest, on Friday, November 5. Buckhannon-Upshur will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Tigers go into the contest with a 0-9 record after their 53-0 league loss to Fairmont Senior (Fairmont, WV).
