The Grand Island Islanders held off the host Creighton Prep Junior Jays football team by a count of 30-28 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, Grand Island upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Islanders travel to Bellevue West (Bellevue, NE) to encounter the Thunderbirds in a non-league outing on Friday, November 5. The Thunderbirds go into the outing with a record of 9-1. Bellevue West won 63-26 in their recent non-league outing against Papillion-LaVista (Papillion, NE)

With the loss, Creighton Prep moves to 7-3 on the season.
