October 29, 2024: Columbia, MS 39429 Laurel Golden Tornadoes (Laurel, MS) backers exited the stadium pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Columbia Wildcats (Columbia, MS), 5-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Laurel advances its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Golden Tornadoes host West Jones (Laurel, MS) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league test on Monday, November 4. The Mustangs come into the test with a record of 0-0.
The Wildcats now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host North Forrest for a non-league test on Tuesday, November 5. Columbia will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 5-1 non-league win over Hattiesburg (Hattiesburg, MS). The Eagles record now stands at 1-0.
