Virginia High School Football - Herndon loses to Wakefield School
October 29, 2025: The Plains, VA 20198 Wakefield School Fighting Owls (The Plains, VA) followers went home pleased Wednesday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Herndon Hornets (Herndon, VA), 29-7 in a non-league match.
The Fighting Owls (5-3) will now prepare for their match against McLean (McLean, VA). The Highlanders enter the non-league match with a 1-6 record. In their last match, McLean was beaten by Langley (McLean, VA), 14-0, in a non-league match.
Coming up next, the Hornets confront the George C. Marshall Statesmen (Falls Church, VA) in a non-league match, on Thursday, November 6. Herndon will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Statesmen enter the match with a 3-4 record after their 26-20 non-league loss to Langley (McLean, VA).
