Connecticut High School Soccer - Windham nudges New London
October 3, 2023: New London, CT 06320 Windham Whippets (Willimantic, CT) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host New London Whalers (New London, CT), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Whippets confront the Norwich Free Academy Wildcats (Norwich, CT) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 5. Windham will attempt to move on its 3-5 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 5-2 record after their 4-1 league win over Fitch (Groton, CT).
The Whalers now possess a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lyman Memorial for a Eastern Connecticut III challenge on Thursday, October 5. New London will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Bacon Academy (Colchester, CT). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-4.
