In Thursday's non-league game, the IMG Academy Blue Ascenders (Bradenton, FL) football team edged the visiting Canterbury Cougars (Fort Myers, FL), by a tally of 42-38.

In their next game, the Ascenders battle the Akelynn's Angels Christian Academy Wildcats (Winter Haven, FL) in a non-league game, on Thursday, October 10. IMG Academy Blue will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record.

The Cougars (2-5) will now prepare for their game against Out-of-Door Academy (Sarasota, FL). The Thunder enter the Sunshine State - Freelance game with a 5-0 record.
