In Thursday's league game, the Silverado Hawks (Victorville, CA) football team edged the host Granite Hills Cougars (Apple Valley, CA), by a tally of 18-12.

In their next game, the Hawks battle the Fortuna Huskies (Fortuna, CA) in a non-league game, on Friday, October 11. Silverado will attempt to better on its 3-3 season record. The Huskies enter the game with a 2-4 record after their 62-28 non-league loss to St. Vincent de Paul (Petaluma, CA).
