Perkins County Plainsmen (Grant, NE) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Kimball Longhorns (Kimball, NE), 54-14 in a league battle.

With the win, Perkins County improves its record to 4-2 on the season. The Plainsmen travel to Morrill (Morrill, NE) to play the Lions in a D1 District 10 (8 Man) battle on Friday, October 11. The Lions go into the battle with a record of 0-6. Morrill lost 52-24 in their recent league battle against Bridgeport (Bridgeport, NE)

The Longhorns now have a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Sutherland for a D1 District 10 (8 Man) battle on Friday, October 11. Kimball will play a Sailors team coming off a 26-6 league loss to Hemingford (Hemingford, NE). The Sailors record now stands at 1-5.
