In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Mountain View Mountain Lions flag football squad scored a good 21-0 triumph over the Desert Sunrise Golden Hawks.

The Mountain Lions (3-2) will now prepare for their match against Vista Grande (Casa Grande, AZ). The Spartans come into the 5A Southern match with a 1-4 record.

Coming up next, the Golden Hawks confront the Eastmark Firebirds (Mesa, AZ) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, October 8. Desert Sunrise will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record.
