The Knights now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Northeastern for a non-league test on Thursday, October 10. Riverside-Martin will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 16-8 non-league win over Hertford County (Ahoskie, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 3-1.
With the defeat, Gates County drops to 0-2 on the campaign.
